The Position

Reporting to the CEO, the Executive Director People and Culture will play a leading role in the implementation of systems that drive cultural improvements which embrace Melbourne Health’s vision to be First in Care, Research and Learning.

The Executive Director will assume responsibility for the development and delivery of the people and culture strategy whilst overseeing the cultural transformation program. The position will also have accountability for People Management & HR Operations, Organisational Development including Workforce Planning, Learning and Capability Development, OHS & Wellbeing and Employee/Industrial Relations. The incumbent will foster collaborative relationships with the Board Executive and senior leadership teams, as well as foster strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, universities and other key educational and health organisations.

The successful candidate will possess outstanding communication skills, demonstrated executive HR leadership experience and the ability to coach and bring teams of people together. A highly visible leader, the appointee will think innovatively and have demonstrated ability to lead in large and complex environments. Essential experience includes driving effective organisational development strategies and engaging a workforce to ensure cultural change. Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline are essential.
