The Position

Reporting to the Principal, the Head of Turner House will work independently on a daily basis to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the primary school programmes. The Head of Turner House will provide visionary and innovative leadership and create a safe, stimulating and challenging environment, whilst promoting the School’s vision and values.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding leader, with extensive experience operating within a strategic and high achieving environment. The appointee will possess an empathetic and resilient leadership style, coupled with high emotional intelligence and a strong understanding of managing the needs of the entire Firbank community. Presenting with strong academic credentials and qualifications the successful candidate will be a leader with a passionate commitment to independent primary education.

Firbank Grammar School

Firbank Grammar School (Firbank) is an open-entry, independent, Anglican, day and boarding school, with the junior campus (Turner House) and senior campuses in Brighton and an additional junior school campus in Sandringham. Established in 1909, by the Anglican Archbishop of Melbourne, Henry Lowther Clarke, the school currently caters for approximately 1,200 students. The Early Learning Centre and primary school are co-educational, whilst the secondary school (Years 7–12) is for girls only. The Boarding House welcomes students from rural areas and overseas.
