Director Strategy and Governance

CenITex seeks a dynamic leader for the role of Director Strategy and Governance to implement and maintain high standards in corporate governance, managing the Board Secretariat function and providing advice to the Board and Executive. The Director will be responsible for leading, developing and maintaining strategic planning, governance and performance monitoring frameworks for the organisation.

As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Director reports directly to the Chief Executive. Working across the organisation to build company capability and foster an environment of quality the Director will promote a customer-centric culture whilst managing the development of strategic initiatives, including the corporate plan. This position will oversee the evaluation and continuous improvement of the organisation’s governance framework, and will be responsible for high quality services to the Board.

The ideal candidate will be customer-focused and results-oriented with experience of working in an IT or technology service environment. You will bring significant experience in leading strategy and governance functions in a large, complex organisation coupled with the capacity to assess complex matters and exercise sound judgement. You will be able to communicate and influence strategic outcomes at executive, board, government and industry levels and will be skilled at building relationships and trust with key stakeholders. You will also be a proactive leader with strong people centred leadership competencies.

CenITex is an ICT shared services agency set up by the Victorian Government to centralise ICT support to government departments and agencies. CenITex provides ICT services to 32,000 people across six Victorian Government departments and their associated portfolio agencies, and also to the Environment Protection Authority, Public Transport Victoria, Taxi Services Commission, VicForests and Victorian Ombudsman.
